| Ultimate purposes of Brahmacharya |
I can say with full confidence that no matter what you achieve in life—success, money, fame—you will find real happiness only in spirituality and Brahmacharya.
Today, many people consider luxury cars, big houses, girls, or money as their only life goals. But such people always remain unsatisfied. Even after getting everything, something still feels missing, and they spend their entire life chasing that emptiness. Do you want your life to end in the same way?
Think about your own life. There are so many things you once wanted badly, and you got them too—but their happiness didn’t last. Why?
Because those things are not the ultimate goal of life. When you realize the true goal, all desires and cravings naturally fade away.
Hanging out just for fun, partying in pubs, or making money the only purpose of life—these habits only corrupt your mind.
You must have seen many celebrities and artists who have everything the world dreams of, yet they live in depression. Some influencers even end their lives despite immense success.
These are the results of living far away from Brahmacharya, because Brahmacharya is real life—it is the path of self-discovery. The deeper you go into it, the more bliss you will experience. Believe me.
Our true existence is that Supreme Power. All relationships, caste, ego—none of these will go with us. Come out of these illusions and live in Brahmacharya; only then your life will rise. Otherwise, get ready to fall.
We all know this life is full of pain and suffering. Do you want to experience the same life again and again? If not, then expand your consciousness. Know yourself. Try to become a better version of yourself every single day.
Whatever I am saying today, I am saying it because of the strength of Brahmacharya. One day, your time will come too, when you will speak the same wisdom to others. But first, change yourself. When you change, people will naturally be attracted to you.
I am not telling you to leave everything and start a spiritual journey. No. You must live a balanced life. Work hard for what you want, but do not get attached to the end result. If you get attached, then even success won’t give happiness, and failure will bring deep sorrow.
Do every action with the feeling that you are just an instrument; the real doer is the One above. Consider every work as service to the Divine—this will protect you from wrong actions and also remove stress.
I request you—at least once in your life—practice Brahmacharya for your own upliftment, for your own happiness, and to reconnect with your true self.
Otherwise, when youth passes away, only regret will remain.
Comments on Brahmacharya by Great People and Sages:
1. Brahmacharya in Patanjali Yoga Sutras:
Patanjali mentioned Brahmacharya as one of the five rules of Yama (the first step of Yoga).
"ब्रह्मचर्य प्रतिष्ठायां वीर्यलाभः" — This means: When Brahmacharya is firmly established, the practitioner gains immense strength and vitality. With this power, they move forward on the path of self-discovery and attaining God.
2. Brahmacharya in the Upanishads:
The Chandogya Upanishad says: "Brahmacharyena tapasaa devaa mrityum aapagnata" — This means: Even the gods overcame death through Brahmacharya and penance.
This indicates that through Brahmacharya, a practitioner can attain immortal knowledge, eternal peace, and liberation (Moksha).
3. Swami Vivekananda’s Perspective:
Swami Vivekananda said: "Brahmacharya is the backbone of spirituality. Whoever masters it can achieve anything in life."
He believed that without Brahmacharya, self-realization and great accomplishments are impossible.
Swami Vivekananda himself strictly practiced Brahmacharya and used that energy to awaken and inspire the world.
4. Maharishi Vedavyasa and Rishi Valmiki:
These great sages considered Brahmacharya as the foundation for long penance, meditation, and the attainment of divine knowledge (Brahmajnana).
They said that through Brahmacharya, a person can control all the senses and realize the true nature of the soul.
5. The Ultimate Goal from a Spiritual Perspective:
The ultimate goal of Brahmacharya is the union of the individual soul (Atma) with the Supreme Soul (Paramatma), where the practitioner transcends personal existence and merges into the Divine.
That’s all for today. We will meet again in the next article.
